How does an ice make machine?

1, the chilled water from the storage tank is continuously circulated by the pump through the evaporator of the plate or compartment;

2, the compressor runs through the suction - compression - exhaust - condensation (liquefaction) - throttling - and then in the evaporator with -10 to -18 degrees of low temperature evaporation heat absorption vaporization.

When the ice layer condenses to a certain thickness, the evaporating temperature of the refrigerant reaches the set temperature of the temperature control, that is, the defrost solenoid valve is often connected to the heat pump form of deicing. I. Ice-making cycle: Through the supplemental water valve, water automatically enters a water storage tank, and then the flow control valve sends the water through the pump to the manifold head, where the water is evenly sprayed onto the surface of the ice maker, like a curtain of water flowing over the wall of the ice maker, the water is cooled to the freezing point, and the water that is not frozen by evaporation will flow into the water storage tank through the porous tank and start the cycle again.

Ice harvesting cycle: When the ice reaches the required thickness (the thickness can be chosen by the operator and the user), the hot air from the compressor is redirected back into the wall of the ice maker to replace the low-temperature liquid refrigerant.

In this way, a film of water is formed between the ice and the evaporation tube wall, and this film will play a lubricating role when the ice falls freely into the tank below by gravity. And the water produced in the ice harvesting cycle will be returned to the water storage tank through the porous tank, which also prevents the wet ice from being discharged by the machine.

Condensation is achieved by air-cooled, water-cooled or evaporative condensers. Evaporative condensers are installed above the ice machine, water-cooled condensers are installed below the ice machine or below the refrigeration system, and air-cooled condensers are installed either together with the ice machine or outdoors, depending on the situation. If required, water-cooled condensers can be used on boats or at the shore, using seawater for cooling.

Evaporative cooling can be used where the ambient air temperature is high, but from an efficiency and economic point of view, it is not suitable for use in water-cooled or air-cooled refrigeration conditions.
